ADULT CHOIR
Chancel Choir - Rehearsals Wednesdays 7PM in the Choir Room, Sing at 11:00 Worship
SANCTUARY RINGERS
Our hand bell choir, Sanctuary Ringers, rehearses each Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM in the Education Building, Room 205. This group of talented musicians helps ring in worship once a month!
WORSHIP TEAM
Our worship team meets throughout the year to assist the congregation in meaningful and passionate Worship. This group of creative and talented people coordinate Ushers and Greeters for each worship service, keep the altar in the Sanctuary looking beautiful, and work with the pastors and staff to create incredible worship experiences throughout the year. The First United Methodist Church worship team is an essential ministry that leads us in passionate worship each and every week.

The Celebration Singers Youth Choir
has a long, rich tradition here at First United Methodist Church. The choir is open to all sixth through twelfth graders and meets each Sunday during the school year for rehearsal. Our youth are active participants in Sunday worship services throughout the year.
Katy First Kids
SUNDAY SCHOOL 9:45
KatyFirstKids WILL meet on all Sundays.
We will enjoy Singing and Dancing and Talking to Jesus.
Children are also invited to the Fellowship Hall during the Sunday School hour for learning, snacks and fun.
The Nursery is available 9:30am to Noon in Room 106 every Sunday.
Katy First YOUTH
SUNDAY SCHOOL 9:45
Sunday school meets from 9:45-10:45 in the youth room in our Family Life Center.
Sunday night Youth Group meets most Sundays 5:30-7:30 in the Family Life Center. students share a meal, play games, and grow in their faith through large group worship and small group discussions.

Katy First missions
"Demonstrate the love of Christ by reaching those in need through hands on service." Missions reaches out to people through programs and work that allow us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We share the good news of Jesus and provide direct aide to human suffering and need. Mission programs are available for a wide range of interests, for teams, individuals, and the entire congregation to participate.
Mission Team Objectives...
1. Expand membership involvement by attracting and leveraging diverse talents
2. Identify and execute community work projects
3. Support area outreach ministries
4. Plan and deliver Mission Trips focused on rebuilding lives.
Daybreak Place - Ministry for Senior Adults with Long Term Care needs. Daybreak Place meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall, 10AM to 1:30PM and includes lunch. If you know of someone or if you are a caregiver of someone with special needs, we invite you to participate in this ministry. The caregivers are welcome to stay or may leave and return at closing. Katy Christian Ministries - This community ministry began in our church basement. As partners with KCM, we join with other churches in our area to reach out to the people in our local community. We collect food for the Food Pantry each month as well as donations for special events. In 2018, we will expand our support to include volunteering at KCM. Christ Clinic - Christ Clinic exists to serve people who fall through the gaps and aren’t able to get much-needed care without insurance. The Missions Team supports Christ Clinic through a monthly donation and support of their annual fundraising breakfast. Meals-on-Wheels Members volunteer for this Interfaith Ministry which delivers life-saving meals and warm greetings to home-bound seniors, disabled or ill adults in the Katy area.
Relay for Life Join our Relay for Life team to help stop cancer, or learn more about the different ways to support the spring event contact: lhernande@aol.com.
Angel Tree Program This unique ministry gives the church an opportunity to share Christ’s love at Christmas to the families of prisoners in our community.
Forever Friends A ministry designed for those 18 years and older with Special Needs. They meet every first Sunday from 2-4 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Each month participants spend time in fellowship with one another while engaging in fun activities. Advent/Lent/Communion Special Offerings During the Advent, Lenten and Communion Sundays, special mission offerings are taken during worship that benefit local charities and/or community services.

Prayer Team
This group of prayer warriors prays over the weekly requests of the congregation and contacts members and guests in order to help them in times of need.
Bereavement Team
This loving group provides hospitality, comfort and support to families during funeral and memorial services by providing small receptions for families in need.
Eagles Wings Caring Ministry
Caring Ministry is a new ministry that organizes a team of lay visitation for persons in the hospital and nursing homes.
